New Patient Pre-Registration

Are you new to MedPeds? MedPeds offers our new patients the convenience of completing an online New Patient Pre-Registration Form. NOTE: Please skip this step if you already have an appointment.

Completing this form can save you time by giving you the opportunity to complete your New Patient Pre-Registration form from home, prior to your initial office visit.

New Logo Specialist Referrals

Please note that referrals require up to 72 hours to process. When requesting a referral, please include your name, insurance company, ID number, specialist name and specialty. We will notify you when your referral is prepared and can fax or mail it to you, or you may pick up the referral. Same day referrals are limited to medical emergencies. Referral requests may also be submitted via the Patient Portal.

New Kiosks will shorten wait time in the lobby

Our patients have spoken and we listened.  One of the most frequent complaints that we get is that it takes too long to check-in for appointments.  MedPeds has addressed that issue and has contracted to install two new check-in kiosks in the patient waiting area.  These new kiosks will be outfitted with iPad 2's that are specially configured to help you check-in for your scheduled appointment.  The new kiosks will be very easy to use and should be available sometime in November.  Using the kiosks will streamline the check-in process and speed up the time it takes to see your provider.

Of course, if you prefer, you are always welcome to check-in directly at the front desk.

Health Information Exchange

Imagine… You have a bad infection and go to an emergency room. You are allergic to several antibiotics but cannot remember which ones. Wouldn’t you want the emergency room physicians treating you to know?

Health Information Exchange (HIE), is a way of sharing health information among doctor’s offices, hospitals, labs, radiology centers, and other health organizations. In Maryland, CRISP (Chesapeake Regional Information System for our Patients) is responsible for developing and maintaining the HIE. The system allows doctors and nurses treating you, in a hospital or doctor’s office, to access your medical history, current medications and allergies. Social Security numbers, insurance and other non-medical information is not shared. Having medical information available when needed can save lives and save you from having unnecessary or costly services.

Reimbursement for Over-The-Counter Medications

Get Reimbursed for Over-The-Counter Medications

Patients can now request reimbursement from their Flexible Spending, Health Savings (HRA) and Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA) for over-the-counter medications. MedPeds charges $10 per over-the-counter prescription, but we will waive the fee if the prescriptions are requested during a regularly scheduled office visit.
